BREVITY COUNSELING
From your partner. From yourself. From the version of your life that used to feel like yours. You're still showing up every day. But somewhere along the way it stopped feeling like enough.
You don't have to have the right words yet.
That's where we start.
Online counseling in Texas
Brevity Counseling works with individuals, couples, and teenagers navigating disconnection. The quiet, everyday kind that's harder to name and just as hard to carry.

You don't need to drive across town or sit in a waiting room. You just need somewhere private and 50 minutes. A lot of people wonder if therapy over video actually works. In my experience, the walls people carry don't care what room they're in. Coming SOON in-person sessions will also available, if that's what you'd rather have.
You don't need to have the right words or a clear explanation of what's wrong. A 15-minute consultation is just a conversation., low pressure, no commitment. You tell me a little about what's been going on, and I'll tell you how I work. That's it.
Not every therapist is the right fit for every person, and I'd rather tell you that honestly than have you sit through sessions that aren't working. By the end of our consultation, we'll both have a sense of whether this feels right. If it does, we'll schedule your first session. If it doesn't, I'll help you find someone who's a better match.
Real work. Not performing progress or checking boxes. We go toward the thing that brought you here, at a pace that's honest, not rushed. Most people leave their first session feeling like they can finally exhale. That's where we start.
EMDR is a research-supported approach for processing trauma and distressing memories. It doesn't require talking through everything in detail. Which makes it a good fit for people whose history is hard to put into words. We'd talk through whether it fits your situation before we use it.
Yes — Curative, Carelon Behavioral Health, Cigna, Aetna, Independence Blue Cross, and Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey, in both Texas and Arizona. More plans are being added as they're approved. For anything else, sessions are private pay, and individual sessions come with a superbill you can submit toward out-of-network reimbursement, which some plans pay and some don't. You can view rates on the services page.
I am looking to offer in person session coming SOON. I'll have a space in San Antonio for sessions in person, alongside the online sessions already available anywhere in Texas or Arizona. Online isn't going away. This just adds the option for people who'd rather be in the room.
It depends on what you're working on. Some people need a few focused months. Others find that regular sessions are worth keeping long-term. We figure that out together based on what's actually happening.
No. Most sessions are online, which means anywhere in Texas or Arizona works. Houston, Lubbock, a base in El Paso, Phoenix, Flagstaff, a town with one therapist in it who happens to be your neighbor. San Antonio is where I am, not who I can see. Starting in November, in-person sessions are also available here, if that's what you'd rather have.
Most people who reach out say some version of "it's probably not bad enough for this." That's usually the sign it's worth a conversation, not the reason to wait. You don't need a crisis, a diagnosis, or a rock-bottom moment to qualify. You need to notice something's off and want a place to think it through out loud.
